psls/memes — i'm always open to assumed cr, cross canon and AUs on memes and within PSLs, with the caveat that i'm exceptionally fucking canon blind to most things. all that said, there are a few bits and pieces that i'd love to explore! ▸ I'm more interested in character dynamics than specific characters/franchises — marc's varied background and variety of storylines and beats opens him up to interacting with various canons, but I'm especially interested in anything with a supernatural bent (I'm living for his interactions with clea and stephen strange in their respective recent/current runs, as well as wong, and would absolutely adore writing with anyone that plays any of those or similar characters — marc hitting up magic users for help with shit he has no idea about, yes please and thank you). ▸ obligatory fuck ellis, but I recently re-read MK's appearances in secret avengers and the infiltration in symkaria issue? mmmmm, give me some spy/espionage shit!! ▸ AoU alternate future lives rent free in my head, let's explore robot dystopia. ▸ midnight mission-esque? come get questionable help from a questionable superhero! ▸ pre-MK — post-marines, during his boxing/mercenary days? whispers jean-paul into the wind ▸ frankly, in terms of specific characters, I'm not super fussed. if we're on the same page in terms of writing styles and have chemistry, I don't think the who is the biggest deal. however! other marvel characters are always great, whether they're comics or cinematic. I'll be very upfront and admit that I didn't particularly enjoy the D+ interpretation of MK, but I enjoyed layla and would love to do some kind of 616/mcu au/crossover with the two. nb. layla is being incorporated into the comics with a different backstory as of july so eyes pointing gif lol it was a terrible storyline and makes very little sense in terms of marc's backstory, but happy to play around with it nonetheless ▸ not opposed to AUing (616) MK into the mcu in general, however I'm very out of touch with what's going on with the mcu currently but wevs wevs. it's rp. the main points would be keeping his relationship (or lack thereof, lol) with his father, removing the child abuse and leaning into the moench backstory (with bushman), and for all its missteps, leaning into the character exploration of huston/benson. ▸ all that said and done, if anyone currently plays or wants to play any of MK's supporting casts, hmu man. I'll make u icons if u want. my heart has an eternal longing for marlene, frenchie, tigra. but any of them are great tbh... ▸ I'm v. flexible w/ canon point — moench-era? yes! huston, benson and hurwitz? sure, fam, why not! my boy mackay? obvs. the only eras I'm 100% on not being interested in playing MK from are bendis and bemis. (even kavanagh, i hear you whisper? maybe kavanagh, my friends, maybe kavanagh.) ▻ drop me a pm if there's something you want to do!
